An hour off, in a world that’s always on.

Classical Pilates sessions designed to help you reconnect, feel, and move with intention.

“Try checking Slack while you’re inverted on the Cadillac.”

OFFLINE Pilates is a classical Pilates studio offering private instruction by appointment only. Founded by Makini Mask, the studio exists for anyone who needs an antidote to the noise. A place to get out of your head and back into your body.

We teach Pilates the way it was originally taught.

A week's worth of back-to-backs, decisions, and other people's energy. You walk out breathing deeper. Feeling like yourself again. That's not poetry. That's what happens when precise, intentional movement meets a body that's been begging you to pay attention.

Classical Pilates doesn't just strengthen your core (though it does that too). It reorganizes your body from the inside out. Hips that actually move. A spine that doesn't fight you. A nervous system that finally gets to downshift.

The system has been working for 100 years. We teach it the way it was designed.

You walk in carrying everything. You walk out standing taller.

In 1925, Joseph Pilates designed a system for bodies under constant demand. Dancers used it. Athletes used it. People recovering from injury used it. Not because it was trendy. Because it worked.

Your demands look different now, but the principle is the same: the body you're asking to perform at an elite level deserves elite level care.

100 years old. More relevant than ever.

Your body didn't come with documentation.

That's what we're for.

How We Work

Private Sessions

Fifty minutes. One on one. Working through the classical apparatus: reformer, cadillac, chair, barrel, and mat.

Each session is built around where your body is today, what it needs, and where you want to go. We move at your pace. We adjust in real time.

This is a workout that asks you to be present. No autopilot. No going through the motions. Just you, your body, and the work.

Semi-Private Duos

The most focused class you'll have all week. Two towers. Two people. Spring resistance meets classical mat in a session designed to make you work. Set at the intro level for those new to Pilates or new to the classical method.

Group Mat Class

Small classes. Real instruction. No one hiding in the back row.

Our mat classes are intentionally small so you actually get coached, not just counted through reps. This is the original Pilates method on the mat, the foundation everything else is built on. New to OFFLINE? Start here. Already doing privates? Mat deepens everything.

I know the feeling of living entirely in your head. Cornell undergrad, Wharton MBA, Director at Google. My brain was always running the show. Pilates became the first place I could actually slow down and reconnect. That's why I started OFFLINE Pilates: a space to step out of the mental noise and back into your body.

My body has always been part of the story too. Competitive figure skating as a kid. Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting as an adult. Two Ironman 70.3 finishes. I know how to push. What I didn't know was how to move fully with intention.

The short version: after major surgery in London, I walked into a classical Pilates studio looking for rehab. I walked out taller, more aligned, more powerful. I was instantly hooked. I’d tried plenty of Pilates over the years, but the original method was the one that actually changed everything

I completed my comprehensive certification at Equinox in London and remain a serious student of the method. I train regularly with Alexandra Edwards and Christos Niaros and have taken workshops with Brooke Siler and Maria Earle. Pilates has a lineage, and I believe in honoring it.

I started OFFLINE Pilates to bring the vibrant, rigorous classical culture I found in London back home to the Bay Area. It felt too good to leave behind, and I wanted to build a space where that same energy could thrive here.

What I love most about this work is watching clients move without pain, stand taller, and feel at home in their bodies again. At the end of the day, it’s about connection - your body, your breath, and the inner strength that’s been there all along.
