The OFFLINE TENETS
These tenets guide how we work together at OFFLINE. They apply to everyone who walks through the door.
We teach Pilates as it was designed.
OFFLINE follows the classical method Joseph Pilates developed. This is an athletic practice that builds strength and mobility. We take the time to learn the work first, then add pace, challenge, and complexity as your body is ready for it.
Your body is the teacher, and we follow it.
Every session starts with what your body brings in that day. We adapt the work to you, not the other way around.
Progress matters more than perfection.
This practice develops over time. Showing up consistently and paying attention will take you further than any single perfect session.
We practice attention, not critique.
Notice where you are today without grading yourself. Pay attention to what your body is doing, not what you think it should be doing.
What you feel matters more than what you post.
Phones stay outside the studio. The hour you spend here belongs to you and the work.
Respect is the price of entry.
OFFLINE is for everyone who comes to do the work with respect for the room, the work, and each other. Everyone who walks through the door deserves to feel respected and seen. Racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise hateful language has no place here, whether it's said as a joke, in passing, or about yourself. If it happens, the session ends. So does the client relationship.
