One system. Five apparatus.
Most people meet Pilates through the reformer, and the reformer is remarkable. It is also one piece of a larger system Joe built, where each apparatus teaches the body something the others cannot.
The Reformer. The moving carriage and springs that most people know. Resistance that teaches the body to work from its center.
The Cadillac. A full trapeze table for work lying, sitting, kneeling, and hanging. Where some of the deepest work in the method happens.
The Chairs. Compact and unforgiving in the best way. Strength, balance, and control with nothing to hide behind.
The Barrels. Shaped to open the spine. Extension, articulation, and breath.
The Mat. Where the method begins and where it lives. Everything the apparatus teaches, carried in your own body.
Your sessions move through all of it, guided by what your body needs that day.
100 years old. More relevant than ever.
In 1925, Joseph Pilates designed a system for bodies under constant demand. Dancers used it. Athletes used it. People recovering from injury used it. Not because it was trendy. Because it worked.
Your demands look different now, but the principle is the same: the body you're asking to perform at an elite level deserves elite level care.

The work passed hand to hand.
Joseph Pilates taught his method in person, body by body, for over forty years in his New York studio. Romana Kryzanowska came to him as a young dancer with an injured ankle and stayed to become his most devoted student. After Joe died, she carried the work forward for decades, protecting the method exactly as he taught it and training the generation of teachers who keep it alive today.
We train in that lineage. Our teachers studied with Romana's students, and we continue to work with them every week. The method reaches you the same way it has always traveled, from teacher to student, hands on, one body at a time.
We teach the original system on Gratz apparatus, built to Joe's own specifications. The order matters. The details matter. The springs matter. When the work is taught the way it was designed, it does what it has always done. You stand taller, move freer, and feel at home in your body.
